🎃 Fortnitemares 2026 Sprites — how to get all four (and where to farm them)

Fortnitemares went live with update v42.30 on October 1, and it brought four new Sprites to collect. Here’s what each one’s power actually does, every finish you can chase, the POIs where players are finding them, and — if you can’t grind all four — which to prioritise. Two more (Honey and Obsession) land around October 15.

The four live Sprites, ranked by what we’d chase first

Spooky DashMythic

Power: Holds dash charges that recharge over time — tap to burst forward and phase through some objects.

Where to farm: Pumpkin Chests & Cheat Codes — hotspots: Nightmare Neighborhood, Wonkeeland, Cluster Coast. It’s a Mythic, so it’s rare — the Nightmare Neighborhood is the most-reported hotspot.

Our take: The headline pickup. It’s the only Mythic of the four, it’s the rarest to find, and mobility is the hardest thing to get from a Sprite — a free repositioning tool that also ignores some walls is genuinely strong in the endgame. If you only farm one, make it this.

VampireEpic

Power: Recover Health whenever you damage an enemy — the share returned climbs with each level.

Where to farm: Pumpkin Chests & Cheat Codes — hotspots: Golden Grove, Chopped Shop, Sunken Shores. Also drops from defeating the Five Nights at Freddy’s animatronics (Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy) at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.

Our take: The best fighter’s Sprite of the bunch. Passive lifesteal rewards aggression and keeps you topped up without burning mats or minis, which is exactly what you want in high-kill games. Level it to 5 and it noticeably changes how greedy you can play.

The DeerLegendary

Power: Your melee attacks hit harder, scaling up each level (a 99 Nights in the Forest collab).

Where to farm: Pumpkin Chests & Cheat Codes. Found in Pumpkin Chests island-wide; as a Legendary, Epic-tier Cheat Codes give the best odds.

Our take: The niche pick. Melee rarely decides fights, so the raw power is situational — but it’s a Legendary with the full finish set, so collectors and melee-pickaxe-rush players will still want it. Lower priority unless you love the 99 Nights tie-in.

Dumpster DiveEpic

Power: Dive into a hiding spot to turn up food that restores extra Health — the heal grows each level.

Where to farm: Pumpkin / rare chests & Cheat Codes. Despite the name, you can’t get it by diving into dumpsters — it’s not tied to a POI. It comes from chests (best odds from Pumpkin / blue rare chests), Cheat Codes, or eliminating opponents & bosses carrying it; the richest rare chests are in the Vaults (see below).

Our take: The easiest grab. It’s an Epic you’ll stumble into while farming the others, and bonus healing from foraged food is a quiet but real sustain boost for slower, rotation-heavy playstyles. Great value for how little effort it takes to complete.

The fastest farming routine

Sprites don’t have guaranteed spawns, so you’re really farming chances. Three things stack those chances in your favour:

  • Hit Vaults first. The richest Pumpkin / rare chests are underground in the Vaults at Stone Sanctum and the Mega Maze landmark — clear those first. Those underground chests are Pumpkin/rare chests, which carry the best Sprite odds.
  • Cash in every Cheat Code. Cheat Codes are the most reliable Sprite source in Override — and an Epic-tier Cheat Code is your best shot at the Legendary Deer and the Mythic Spooky Dash.
  • Survive longer. More time alive = more chests opened = more rolls. Farm the edges of a POI, not the hot-drop.

For the premium looks: the Cheat Master finish is unlocked per-Sprite with a Hack the Lobby code (not from chests), and Power Hours temporarily boost finish spawns — stack a session during one to fill out Gold and the event finishes faster.

Coming next: Honey & Obsession (~Oct 15)

Fortnitemares runs through Halloween, and two more Sprites are slated for a mid-event wave around October 15 — the Honey Sprite (a Design-a-Sprite winner that swarms whoever damages you) and a new Obsession Sprite. We’ll flip them live with their art the day they drop — keep the news feed handy.

FAQ

How many Fortnitemares Sprites are there?

Four are live right now — Spooky Dash, Vampire, The Deer and Dumpster Dive — each with Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker and Bounty Hunter finishes available. Their Trick-or-Treat Halloween recolours are datamined for Oct 8. Two more Sprites, Honey and Obsession, are expected around October 15.

What’s the fastest way to farm them?

Drop on a chest-dense POI with a Vault (Stone Sanctum or the Mega Maze landmark), crack Pumpkin and rare chests first, and cash in every Cheat Code you find — Cheat Codes are the most reliable Sprite source and an Epic-tier code gives the best shot at the Legendary Deer. Survive longer = more chests = more rolls.

Which Fortnitemares Sprite should I get first?

Spooky Dash. It’s the rarest (Mythic) and the only one that gives you mobility, which is the most valuable thing a Sprite can do. Vampire is the next best for its lifesteal, then Dumpster Dive for easy sustain, with The Deer last unless you want the Legendary for your collection.

How do I get the Cheat Master finishes?

The Cheat Master finish is unlocked per-Sprite with a specific Hack the Lobby code, not from chests — enter it in the lobby Admin Panel. Power Hours also boost finish spawns while they’re live.

Do the Sprites spawn at fixed locations?

Not strictly. The hotspots above are where players report the most luck, but Sprites come from chests and Cheat Codes anywhere on the island, and the map rotates — treat the POIs as a starting route, not a guarantee.

Track your haul as you go: tick off finishes on the collection tracker, grab free Sprite Dust from Lobby Hack codes, and see how the new Sprites rank on the tier list.

Powers are community-reported (Epic doesn’t publish exact figures); farming hotspots are from community farming guides (Beebom, GameRant) and shift as the map rotates. Updated October 10, 2026.
